The Ending and Outsome

Balthasar ruins the original plan by saying Juliet is officially to Romeo. This angers him, so he goes to a apothecary to buy poison and commit suicide next to her grave. He doesn't realize he was supposed to get a letter by Friar John, because he was locked up. During this time, Friar Laurence immediately begins writing a letter to Romeo before he comes, but it is too late. Paris, goes to Juliet's "grave" with his page to consecrate her everyday. Immediately, Romeo comes with Balthazar and gives him a letter to give to his family. He doesn't want Balthazar to interfere, so he curses him if he comes. Paris hides behind a pillar, and sees a person next to Juliet's grave, and he recognizes it is Romeo and tries to arrest him. Romeo, kills him and drinks the potion. After, Juliet wakes up, but finds her love dead next to her, so she stabs herself with Romeo's dagger. Watchmen then come  and bring the Prince with the Capulet's and Montague's along. Friar Laurence and Balthazar with the Page explain the situation, and then they Capulet's and Montague's realize they should be friends, not enemies.

The Wedding and the New Plan

After Romeo slays Tybalt, he hides in Friar Laurence's cell for safety. He weeps at his exile and exaggerates everything he says. For example, he would rather die than be exiled. Friar Laurence, comes up with a plan for him to regroup them up. The plan he makes is for Romeo to head to Juliet before going to Mantua and then he waits a few years. Friar Laurence will then let Juliet know of his plans for her when he is allowed to come back. After, Romeo heads to her eagerly, like a child receiving candy. Before Juliet's parents come, he descends down and becomes a "man" from there on. When he leaves, he lets her father know she will wed Paris, which excites him. He immediately moves the marriage to a day later because he thinks she is really excited. She then goes to Friar Laurence for a solution, and his plan for her is for her to drink the potion, and then her to be "dead", so when she wakes up she will reunite with Romeo and be wed. Romeo doesn't know of this, so he waits impatiently. On Wednesday, she drinks the potion at night before the wedding with Paris with many fears like she will wake up early or it won't work.

Tybalt's and Mercutio's Deaths and Romeo's Future

The scene begins with when Tybalt comes and wants to duel Romeo, but Romeo decides to not duel him, but instead comments "I love you" to Tybalt, his "enemy", because he doesn't want to ruin his relationship with Juliet. His comment infuriates Tybalt because he doesn't realize Romeo and Juliet are in love and he tried to make Romeo fight, but he wouldn't. Mercutio decides to fight for Romeo because he thinks Romeo is being a wimp. During the fight, Romeo tried to stop the fight, but he ended up failing and Mercutio gets slayed by Tybalt's sword. Mercutio, in his last moments makes puns about his death and finding a grave later on and curses both of their houses. The next thing that happens, Romeo becomes enraged and slays Tybalt with his sword. Moments later, Romeo flees the scene and believes he is a unlucky person. After, the Prince arrives and asks what happened, and then the Capulet's and Montague's meet up to resolve the situation. The Prince decides to exile Romeo, and this causes Romeo to be really sad because he can't see Juliet. He would rather die than be exiled, but Friar Laurence devises a plan for him to get them reunited. During this time, Paris visits the Capulet's to plan the marriage, but sees their grieving and shows sympathy towards them. Lord Capulet, decides to move the marriage day a day later without Juliet's consent.

Tybalt and the Marriage

After exchanging marriage vows with Juliet, Romeo visits Friar Laurence to have Juliet and him marry. Friar Laurence is hesitant at first, but he decides to marry them to stop the feud between their two families. Later, Romeo is challenged to a duel from Tybalt because he really hates the Montagues like the word "hell", and he saw Romeo at the party uninvited. Mercutio makes a mockery of Tybalt by saying Tybalt fights like a dancer. Romeo accepts the challenge, but he really doesn't pay attention to it. The Nurse arrives shortly after asking when the marriage is happening and where to meet, and Romeo says to meet in Friar Laurence's cell. Mercutio makes fun of the Nurse by calling her a ,"No hare, sir, unless a hare, sir, in a Lenten pie—that is, something stale and hoar ere it be spent.", which is basically a prostitute. After, Nurse leaves in a hurry when she found out she is two hours late from her schedule, and she returns home to let Juliet know information about the marriage.

The Party and Balcony Scene

When Romeo arrived to the party he didn't expect to find the new 'love' of his Juliet. Right when Juliet and him looked at each other, it was love at first sight. This caused him to not really think about Rosaline anymore and it changed his sad attitude to a energetic, happy attitude. He makes the first move by giving a pick-up line about saints on a pilgrimage and his lips are the pilgrims praying while Juliet is the sacred statue. Juliet jokes with Romeo by using his pick-up line against him. I found Romeo's pick-up line to be a little bit cheesy.  After the party Romeo ditches his friends to look for Juliet to woo and marry. Romeo at this point is a bit of a stalker because he stares at Juliet on the balcony while in a bush admiring her beauty. During Juliet's speech I learned she will do anything, even change her name for Romeo if her family doesn't allow her to marry Romeo. Later, when Juliet discovers Romeo they exchange marriage vows, but Juliet is a bit hesitant because she thinks they might be going to fast, and I believe they are going too fast because their already asking for marriage within 24 hours of meeting each other.

The fight and Paris's proposal to Juliet

The fight in the beginning between the Capulet's and Montague's has roused my attention from the start of the story. It was started quickly out of the blue when one of the Capulet's servants bit their thumb at a Montague (Known as flipping the bird or middle finger).  Benvolio, who is Romeo's cousin, tries to stop the fight, but  Tybalt decides to pursue; eventually it is stopped when the Prince comes and  declares death to either side if they start a commotion again. Later, Romeo comes in depressed about unrequited love with Rosaline, and I think he is overreacting, and being very dramatic about it. When Benvolio says he feels sad for him, Romeo  feels even more bad. This just shows even more of how dramatic he is. During his chat with Benvolio, he doesn't know about Paris's proposal to Juliet or even know who they are. I believe this might cause more problems later on, but I'll probably not find out until around act 3.
